890-900 Bank Street
Canderel is collaborating on this attractive mid-rise, mixed-use project with Succession Development Corporation, a developer of Seniors Housing. It will feature approximately 18,000 sf of premium retail space at grade with 160 seniors’ residences above. The project is situated on a 34,425 sf site at the corner of Bank Street and Thornton Avenue, and has 295 feet of frontage along Bank. There is also frontage on Monk Street and Thornton, providing optimal street-front visibility and efficiency for retailers of various sizes.
890–900 Bank is located in the heart of the Glebe, an affluent neighbourhood with a vibrant pedestrian culture. Residents and visitors will enjoy the use of the recently redeveloped Lansdowne Park less than a block away. The park hosts Ottawa’s Redblacks football club, which won the 2016 Grey Cup Championship, as well as the new North American Soccer League and the Ottawa 67s, which plays in the Ontario Hockey League. It also hosts numerous cultural events, including concerts and festivals.
The Lansdowne Park area is being transformed into Ottawa’s premier shopping and entertainment lifestyle centre. Planning includes 360,000 square feet of retail opportunities of all types.
Construction is projected to commence in 2018.
