Canderel Residential 

Canderel was instrumental in transforming a desolate downtown Toronto area into one of the city’s most compelling communities. Partnering with stakeholders, Canderel reshaped the 5.3 ha College Park city block into a high-density mixed-use project built around a fully revamped urban public space.

The award-winning College Park development includes the College Park I and II towers and townhouses, the landmark Aura—the tallest residential tower in Canada—and YC Condos, the 66-storey architectural property at the corner of bustling Yonge and College.

After breaking records with Aura at College Park, Canderel continued to push the envelope with another outstanding downtown Toronto location.

Rising 66 storeys high as the fourth pillar of the College Park community, YC Condos reenergized the city’s skyline. The building’s glamorous geometric architecture and luxurious amenities house a total of 2,856 units of living space and over 225,000 sf of retail space.

Canderel was tasked by the Montreal Canadiens and Cadillac Fairview with leading the development management of 1,700 condominiums in the dense downtown core. This mandate kickstarted the Quad Windsor mixed-use development, one of Montreal’s most avant-garde examples of urban placemaking.

Along with the project’s grandeur and ties to the world-famous hockey team, the Tour des Canadiens trilogy’s success results from meticulous attention to detail in all facets of the design, delivery and marketing strategy.

With the three-phased DNA development, Tricon and Canderel reinvigorated a former and somewhat forgotten industrial neighbourhood in Toronto’s King West.

Never showing complacency, the partners adapted the award-winning project to dwellers’ changing needs. DNA’s innovative design, high-end finishes and diversified amenities quickly drew in young professionals with ties to the downtown core.
