Residences of College Park
When designing the two Residences of College Park, the architects at Graziani + Corazza were inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic of the historic Eaton’s building on the block’s northeast corner. The success of their vision is readily apparent in the magnificence of these 51- and 45-storey towers, built in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Clad in best-quality limestone and granite and notable for the fine detailing in their exteriors, the Residences of College Park, along with the row of gracious townhomes at their base, represented the ultimate in condominium development in downtown Toronto. Phase 1’s 658 units sold out quickly. Sales of Phase 2’s 540 units and 12 townhomes were record-breaking. Buyers were drawn by the central location, spectacular views of the city, proximity to Toronto’s busiest subway line and seemingly unlimited choice of restaurants, shopping and services. They equally liked the sophisticated and modern interior design, which is on display in every public area and throughout the many generously appointed, multipurpose amenity rooms. The excellent quality of the construction receives high marks to this day. The residents of both buildings have seen their property values increase dramatically since their original purchase.
